Synopsis
Learn Gyrokinesis, one of the two methods in the Gyrotonic Expansion System®, from a certified instructor. This gentle movement practice uses breath, flowing exercises, and simple equipment such as a yoga mat or stool to help improve how your body feels and moves. It is designed to support the connection between mind and body, while promoting greater ease, balance, and overall wellbeing.

Gyrokinesis is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, from those recovering from injury to athletes looking to move better. With regular practice, it may help improve spinal mobility, joint stability, flexibility, strength, and agility.

Instructor Bio

Edna is a certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis trainer with nearly 20 years of movement practice experience. A breast cancer survivor since 2008, she was introduced to the methods after her surgery and, through perseverance and consistent practice, rebuilt her strength, regained mobility, and reconnected with her body during and after treatment.

After retiring from the corporate world in 2021, Edna dedicated herself full time to teaching and sharing the methods. In March 2025, she became the first in Singapore to be certified in the Gyrotonic Application for Breast Cancer. She now leads weekly classes supporting individuals and their caregivers in recovery and beyond. Edna also practices qigong and classical ballet to support her overall wellbeing.
