Hui Ping graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts & Social Sciences and further obtained a Master of Social Science (Counselling) with Edith Cowan University, Australia.

She is an Associate Member with Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and started counselling in 2005. Prior to joining Parkway Cancer Centre, Hui Ping has worked with diverse populations in correctional, mental health and educational settings and apply different modalities in doing therapeutic work with them. Apart from casework management, she also does psycho-education group work, workshops and talks for her clients.

Complementing her work with cancer patients in the area of grief, bereavement and crisis intervention, she received certifications in Critical Incident Stress Management and National Community Crisis Response Team. She is also a trained overseas respondent with Singapore Red Cross Society in providing humanitarian aid and psychosocial support to survivors during disasters and peacetime.
