Cancer’s Impact on Empty Nest Syndrome

Sharon (Community Relations Oncology Nurse)

Noreen Fraser writes in Fox News about how her cancer has affected her and her family life. Where most children are worrying about their exams, her daughters had to also contend with worries about their mother seeing them graduate. Now she has made it to her goal of her childrens’ graduatation and as they are prepare to leave for college she reflects on this as a positive example of her children feeling normal enough to go into the world and start forming their own lives and experiences.
